Who we are
Data controller: Jsogaard.com (individual developer, Europe).
Contact: johan.sogaard@gmail.com.
Scope: Our apps, games, and websites published under Jsogaard.com.
Personal data we collect
Depending on the app/site and your device settings, we may process:
Our websites may use cookies or similar technologies for analytics and functionality.
- Device & app information: device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone, and diagnostics.
- Identifiers: app instance identifiers; for advertising, the mobile advertising ID (e.g., AAID/IDFA) and related signals as allowed by your settings and platform permissions (on iOS, subject to App Tracking Transparency permission).
- Usage data: interactions, screens viewed, features used, approximate location inferred from IP (coarse), and performance metrics.
- Crash data: crash logs, stack traces, and events leading up to a crash to help diagnose issues.
- Purchase information: if you buy something, the app store processes payment; we may receive purchase/entitlement status (not your full payment card details).
Why we use data (purposes)
- To operate and improve our apps/sites (understand what works, fix issues).
- To diagnose crashes and errors (stability and reliability).
- To show and measure ads in apps that include advertising (AdMob).
- To enable and restore in-app purchases (where applicable).
Legal bases (GDPR)
We process personal data when needed to provide and improve our apps/sites. Where required, we rely on your consent for non-essential analytics and for personalized advertising; in regions where required (such as the EU/EEA), these may be disabled until you provide consent. We may also process data based on our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, app reliability) and to fulfill a contract (for example, providing purchased features).
Third-party services we use
We use the following providers for analytics, crash reporting, and (in some apps) advertising:
-
Google Firebase Analytics — analytics about app/site usage.
Provider info: Firebase Privacy -
Google Firebase Crashlytics — crash and diagnostics reporting.
Provider info: Firebase Privacy -
Google AdMob (some apps) — advertising delivery and measurement.
Provider info: Google Privacy Policy and AdMob & GDPR
Advertising (AdMob)
If an app includes ads, it may show:
- Non-personalized ads (contextual) or
- Personalized ads (based on identifiers and signals), where permitted and (when required) consented. On iOS, access to the IDFA is controlled by App Tracking Transparency (ATT).
You can typically manage ad personalization via your device settings and in-app choices (if present).
Your choices & controls
- Consent: where a consent prompt is shown, you can accept/decline and later change your choice in the app’s settings (if provided).
- iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT): our iOS apps may ask permission to track (to access the IDFA for advertising/measurement). If you decline, we do not access the IDFA.
- Device settings: you can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your OS settings.
- Uninstall: you can stop further data collection by uninstalling the app (normal device uninstall process).
Sharing & disclosures
We do not sell your personal data. We share data with the service providers listed above (analytics, crash reporting, ads) and if required to comply with law or to prevent fraud/abuse.
Retention & international transfers
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described above and according to the settings of our providers (for example, analytics retention settings). Our providers (e.g., Google) may process data outside the EEA; where required, appropriate safeguards are used for such transfers.
Your GDPR rights
If GDPR applies to you, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data
- Object to processing or request restriction
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)
- Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority
To exercise rights, contact us at johan.sogaard@gmail.com. We may ask for information to verify
your request (only to the extent necessary).
Children’s privacy
Our apps are not directed to children under the age where parental consent is required under applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal data without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our apps, services, or legal requirements. We will update the “Last updated” date above, and may provide additional notice in-app where appropriate.
